About Us

Learn Yu Wen, Inc. was founded in 2002 in the US in response to the increasing demand by teachers and students in North America for quality Chinese language study materials. Its mission is to promote learning of the Chinese language, heritage, and culture in North America by providing supplementary teaching and learning materials on an on-going basis to anyone interested in teaching and learning Chinese.

About the Journal

Learn Yu Wen, Inc. is a monthly journal designed to help students learn Chinese language and culture in the U.S. It has two levels: Beginner Level and Intermediate Level. Beginner Level, with Pinyin and English support, serves to stimulate students’ interest in learning Chinese in and out of the classroom. It has games, songs, poems, stories, word puzzles, and writing by students, as well as educational and instructive comprehensive reading selections. Intermediate Level deepens and broadens students’ exposure to Chinese language and culture. It is full of reading materials with exercises, and provides SAT, AP and HSK test exercises to help students in preparing for advanced learning.

The journal is supported and supervised by an advisory group of experienced language teachers and scholars. It is nurtured and edited by a group of experienced teachers and professors who are working at universities, high schools, middle schools and elementary schools in both the US and China. It has been recognized as "a friend for learning Chinese and a bridge to know about China" by students, teachers and parents for years. Hanban (the Office of Chinese Language Council International) has provided academic supervision to the journal.

Learn Yu Wen, Inc. is formerly known as YuWenBao (Yu Wen Bao) and XueYuWen (Xue Yu Wen). Our previous domains included learnyuwen.org, xueyuwen.us and yuwenbao.us. We apologize for the past name changes. The company remained in constant operation, however was trying out a few different domain/company names. As of November, 2009 we are settled on Learn Yu Wen, Inc. located at learnyuwen.com. If you came here searching for Learn UN or Learn U N, this is the place.
